Procedure
- Add water to the primary vessel and begin mixing.
- In a separate vessel, combine ingredients 2 – 3 to create a smooth slurry. Add the slurry to the primary vessel with moderate mixing. Mix for 30 minutes or until completely hydrated.
- Heat to 40 – 45°C, then add ingredients 4 – 7 in order. Mix until uniform.
- In a separate vessel, combine ingredients 8 – 9. Add the premix to the primary vessel.
- Add ingredients 10 – 11.
- Adjust to pH 5.0 – 5.5 with ingredient 12. Note that viscosity is pH sensitive.
- Add ingredient 13. Mix until evenly dispersed.
