Cola®Cor 100
Water-soluble corrosion inihbitor for acid or alkaline conditions
Cola®Cor 100 is a water-soluble amphoteric corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions provide effective corrosion protection at typical use concentrations (0.1 to 1.0%). ColaCor 100 has been used to provide rust inhibition properties in acidic and alkaline conditions. ColaCor 100 exhibits excellent tolerance for water hardness and contributes detergency in aqueous systems.
Cola®Cor 400
Water-soluble, low foam corrosion inhibitor for non ferrous
Cola®Cor 400 is a water-soluble amine carboxylate corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and will provide effective corrosion protection at recommended use concentrations. The performance properties of Cola®Cor 400 are not affected by water hardness, and aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues. Cola®Cor 400 demonstrates more potent corrosion inhibiting properties than traditionally used carboxylic types. Cola®Cor 400 is currently being used successfully in low foam, alkaline spray washes for rust protection, as well as, for improved wetting/rinsibility at 0.1% – 0.3% active.
Cola®Cor ACI
Water-soluble, aluminum corrosion inhibitor
Cola®Cor ACI is an aluminum corrosion inhibitor and designed to prevent corrosion for aluminum and ferrous metals. It is a water-soluble product in its free acid form and the potassium, sodium and amine salts are completely soluble in water.

Ethoxylated Alcohol
Cola®Dol 173B is a moderate foam nonionic performance blend of ethoxylated alcohols effective in transportation cleaning and industrial degreasing. The combination of ethoxylates provides excellent wetting, emulsification and detergency.

Cola®Dol 901 is a multifunctional nonionic surfactant and provides better degreasing and cleaning than NPE surfactants or other NPE-alternatives. Cola®Dry CAV
MSO-Free Spray-Wax and Sealant
Cola®Dry CAV is high performance spray-wax developed without mineral seal oil. It delivers optimal drying with balanced beading and sheeting. It helps reduce water spots, while exerting long-lasting shine and durable protection against dust, tree sap, bird drops and acid rain erosion, over traditional mineral seal oil based drying agents. It can be diluted at as high as 1:2500 in water at use to give excellent performance and economy. Its performance is comparable to a 100% active MSO-based spray-wax.
Cola®Dry CAV Demo
A comparable commercial product (left) is used to highlight the exceptional drying and beading performance of Cola®Dry CAV (right) at a 1:500 dilution. It can be diluted up to 1:2500 in water at use to give excellent performance and economy. Its performance is comparable to a 100% active MSO-based spray-wax.

Cola®Dry Graphene
Ceramic Sealant Concentrate with Graphene
Cola®Dry Graphene is a ceramic sealant concentrate that combines state-of-the-art polymer technology with the durability of graphene for lasting shine and protection. Cola®Dry Graphene will help in the formulation of new “graphene” finish products by simply diluting and injecting through a pump. It can also be used alone in a finishing polish.

This product is designed to be used directly with a dilution pump in its present state. If pre-dilution is made, graphene nanoparticles may settle with time. However, sediment will not affect performance in general, nor clog tubing or pumps.

Octylamine Oxide
Cola®Lux C-8 is an octyldimethylamine oxide from a narrow cut amine, that provides good wetting and very low foaming characteristics. It is compatible with cost surfactants and because there are no amide or ester groups in its chemical structure, Cola®Lux C-8 will not hydrolyze in acid formulations.
Cola®Lux C-8 is also stable in highly alkaline and strong electrolyte systems. Cola®Lux C-8 is also uselful in hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite formulations, providing increased strike for better performance.
Cola®Lux CAO-35
Cocamidopropylamine Oxide
Cola®Lux CAO-35 is a multi-functional amine oxide that provides good detergency, exceptionally high foaming, and viscosity control properties. When combined in the proper ratio with alkyl sulfates or alkyl ether sulfates, Cola®Lux CAO-35 can be used to develop clear, mild, low pH shampoos/cleansers with substantial conditioning properties. It is useful in a variety of personal care and household applications.

Cola®Mulse HP500 is a high performance cationic emulsifier for mineral seal oils. Its high versatility allows formulators to create spray drying agents for vehicle wash at concentrations from high active for reduced shipping costs to more economical versions at lower concentrations that still deliver efficient drying.
Tweaking ratios between mineral seal oil and Cola®Mulse HP500 help adjust beading and sheeting tendencies of drying agents toward optimized drying. It is very forgiving in formulations without the difficulty associated with making stable microemulsions.
Cola®Quat C15
Quaternary Ethoxylated Coco Amine Ethyl Sulfate
Cola®Quat C15 is a naturally-derived ethoxylated quaternary amine at nearly 100% active. When used with other surfactants – especially nonionic surfactants – Cola®Quat C15 will greatly boost degreasing and cleaning performance. It will also help stabilize foam and improve streak-free rinsing. The ethosulfate quats will help reduce the corrosivity found with chloride quats. Cola®Quat C15 may not be compatible with anionic surfactants at high concentrations.
Cola®Quat SME
Soyethyl Morpholinium Ethosulfate
Cola®Quat SME is a cationic surfactant designed to neutralize a wide range of odors. The ingredient functions by complexing or neutralizing specific organic molecules and reducing their concentration in the vapor phase. Its low active level and full solubility in water makes it ideal for consumer deodorizer applications such as space deodorizers, carpet deodorizers, hard surface deodorizers, kitty litter and pet care. The ingredient may be used in a variety of personal care, household and industrial applications to reduce unpleasant odors.

Cola®Quat SME DG
Oil Soluble Deodorizing Quat
Cola®Quat SME DG is an anhydrous liquid, easy to use cationic surfactant that neutralizes a wide range of unpleasant odors.
This product forms a complex with volatile organic molecules, minimizing their potential for producing odors and lowering their intensity in the air. Cola®Quat SME DG is easy to formulate with and is soluble in a wide range of aqueous and non-aqueous formulations. Cola®Quat SME DG may be used in combination with fragrances with no diminishment in fragrance or deodorization effectiveness. Cola®Quat SME DG is effective in complexing and eliminating airborne and surface malodors such as tobacco, vegetable smells, body odor, animal scents and cooking fat. Due to its large hydrophobe and cationic charge, it is also functional as a conditioning active for a wide variety of biological and solid surfaces.
Cola®Solv OES
Oleyl Ethylimidazolinium Ethosulfate
Ionic liquids are compounds that are liquids at low temperatures and functions as solvents, yet they have no VOC content and are environmentally safe. In addition these ionic liquids are categorized as salts that remain as liquids below 100°C. This class of compounds is fast gaining recognition as regulatory and environmental concerns close the door on traditional organic surfactants. Ionic Liquids represent a new technology with potential for use as solvent replacements. Their low vapor pressure makes them potential substitutes for highly volatile organic solvents, thus reducing the amount of pollution caused through solvent evaporation. Their non-flammable nature reduces the risk of fire hazard.
Cola®Solv OES is an ionic liquid offering unique solvent capabilities and useful as replacements for some polar solvents. Cola®Solv OES is compatible with anionic surfactants and can aid in foam stabilization.
Cola®Solv OES is 100% active, liquid quaternary compound in addition to solvent capability it offers excellent antistatic, lubricating, fiber softening and corrosion inhibiting properties in aqueous and non-aqueous systems.
TEXTILE APPLICATION:
The unusual lubricating, antistatic, fiber softening and corrosion inhibiting properties suggest the use of Cola®Solv OES in synthetic coolants and lubricants, plastics, textile softeners and fiber lubricants. Inclusion of either product as surface treatments can aid significantly in static charge reduction.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS:
Cola®Solv OES can be used in cleaners to reduce the static charge on glass and metallic surfaces. Formulations with Cola®Solv OES allow water to be more freely rinsed from surfaces. The more uniform surfaces created by Cola®Solv OES rinse quicker and help prevent re-soiling or re-deposition.
Cola®Teric AP
Hydrotroping Amphoteric for Alkaline and Acidic Systems
Cola®Teric AP is a salt-free organophosphate amphoteric that provides hydrotroping properties in high alkaline built systems that are formulated with conventional and capped low foaming nonionics. Cola®Teric AP improves the rinsibility of these systems by providing less streaking and redeposition of soil on the cleaned surface. Cola®Teric AP also enhances nonionics. Cola®Teric AP is suited for use in industrial cleaners, such as alkaline metal cleaning, high pressure spray cleaners, alkaline degreasers, scrubbing compounds, acid cleaners, transportation cleaners and various other hard surface cleaning formulations..
DETERGENCY ENHANCEMENT
In alkaline metal cleaning tests, Cola®Teric AP, when mixed at equal activity with all ethoxylated alcohols, provides dramatic improvement of hard surface cleaning properties. Blends containing Cola®Teric AP significantly outperformed blends containing similar concentrations of sodium xylene sulfonate.
HYDROTROPING PROPERTIES
Very low concentrations of Cola®Teric AP will help solubilize anionics and both high foaming and low foaming ethoxylated nonionics in high concentrations of acids and alkalies. Cola®Teric AP also improves the surface active properties such as wetting, penetrating and cleaning of formulations.
Cola®Teric AV
Acid Thickener
Cola®Teric AV is an amphoteric acid thickener that effectively thickens HCl as well as acids, inorganic or organic, in the presence of chloride ions. As a surfactant, Cola®Teric AV also provides wetting and detergency properties in acid formulations. It offers viscosity building efficiency, ease of formulation and long-term viscosity stability. Cola®Teric AV is ideal for use in acid bowl cleaners, dairy cleaners and a variety of applications where viscous acid solutions are required.
For easiest results, add the Cola®Teric AV to the water and then add the acids. For acids that don’t contain chloride ions, sodium chloride can be added for effective thickening.
Cola®Teric CBS
Standard Sultaine
Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine. Cola®Teric CBS is an amphoteric surfactant in the sultaine class. Cola®Teric CBS exhibits outstanding surface activity, wetting, foaming, and compatibility in a wide variety of applications. Due to its amphoteric nature, ColaTeric CBS is compatible with cationic, anionic, and nonionic surfactants. The compatibility and stability of formulations containing Cola®Teric CBS are maintained over a broad pH range.
In industrial applications, Cola®Teric CBS is compatible and stable in systems containing acids, alkali, electrolytes and detergent builders. Cola®Teric CBS has excellent lime soap dispersing properties. Cola®Teric CBS is a mild detergent that will help stabilize foam and build viscosity.
Cola®Teric CBS MB

This product is a high-foaming amphoteric surfactant useful in personal care and industrial applications. For industrial products, Cola®Teric COAB provides wetting, effective lime-soap dispersing, and viscosity building properties in various cleaner formulations. For personal care, it contributes mild cleansing and excellent viscosity building in anionic-based systems.
Cola®Teric CYAB
Caprylamidopropyl Betaine
Cola®Teric CYAB is a low foaming amphoteric with excellent coupling properties for industrial products. It provides good detergency in systems that require high cloud points and acts as an effective hydrotrope to couple nonionic surfactants into systems containing moderate amounts of electrolyte. This lower chain length betaine offers low foam at high and low pH ranges is useful for improved detergency.
Cola®Teric JBS
Disodium Capryloamphodipropionate
Cola®Teric JBS is a low foaming amphoteric surfactant offering excellent wetting properties over a wide pH range. Cola®Teric JBS has excellent stability in strong acid and or alkaline systems. It is also an effective wetting agent for use in steam and high pressure spray applications where low foam is essential.
Cola®Trope AHS
Alkylether Hydroxypropyl Sultaine
Unlike some conventional surfactants used in 50% Caustic Soda solutions, Cola®Trope AHS is readily soluble and requires no prolonged mixing or heating. It is also stable in mineral acids (i.e., 25% HCl, 20% HNO3, and 85% H3PO4).
Suggested uses are in the area of industrial and household products where high performance and low foam are required. Metal cleaning, bottle washing concentrates, heavy duty steam cleaning, wax striping, etc., are only a few of the areas where Cola®Trope AHS deserves evaluation.
Tests show that 1.5% of Cola®Trope AHS in a 50% Sodium Hydroxide solution yields a surface tension of 35.8 dynes/cm. A solution of 0.3% ColaTrope AHS in 10% Sodium Hydroxide has a surface tension of 25 dynes/cm.
Prolonged boiling of 0.3%;Cola®Trope AHS;in a 10% Caustic Soda solution showed no loss of effectiveness in lowering surface tension.
In addition to being an effective wetting agent and detergent in Caustic Soda solutions, Cola®Trope AHS at 1.0% in HCl and at 10% in Nitric Acid solutions lowers the surface tension to below 30 dynes/cm.
Cola®Trope AHS is approved for non-food use only, as an inert ingredient in pesticide formulations.
Cola®Trope INC
Sodium Alkanoate, Bleach Stable Hydrotrope
Cola®Trope INC is a versatile, low foaming anionic surfactant/hydrotrope and designed for the use of coupling nonionics and other surfactants into products where high levels of electrolytes may be present. It is especially effective in formulating alkaline built liquid detergent concentrates. This product is not generally intended for low pH systems.
When compared to Sodium Xylene Sulfonate, a popular product used in built liquid detergent systems, there are a number of reasons for considering Cola®Trope INC as a more viable alternative for formulations.
Cola®Trope INC has been tested according to Method OECD 301D and determined to be inherently biodegradable.
Colonial ZF-10
Low Foaming Concentrate for 10% Caustic
Colonial ZF-10 is a low foaming concentrate for up to 10% caustic. It is a surfactant product made to be easily soluble in concentrated alkaline solutions at room temperature but exhibit low foaming nonionic behavior at elevated temperatures after dilution to end use concentrations. Colonial ZF-10 is designed to provide superior detergency characteristics in the presence of strong electrolytes used in soak tanks, sprays, pipeline cleaners, and low-foaming scrubbers.
Colonial ZF-10 contains sodium ions, an alternative to Colonial ZF-10P that contains potassium ion instead.
Colonial ZF-25
Low Foaming Concentrate for 25% Caustic
Colonial ZF-25 is a low foaming concentrate for up to 25% caustic. Poly Suga®Nate 100P NC
Naturally-Derived High-Foaming Surfactant
Poly Suga®Nate 100P NC is a high foaming sulfonated surfactant based on a naturally-derived alkyl polyglucoside derivative. Poly Suga®Nate 100P NC offers good emulsification, mildness to the skin, and excellent lime soap dispersion to give the formulator maximum flexibility in the preparation of light and heavy-duty cleaners. Poly Suga®Nate 100P NC can be used in dishwashing liquids that feature outstanding grease emulsification, mildness to the hands, and excellent foam stability. Poly Suga®Nate 100P NC exhibits superior cleaning in very hard water, reducing the need for expensive builder in the formulation. It is also suitable for use in acidic formulations such as those containing glycolic or α-hydroxy acids. Colonial Chemical has pioneered a new series of “Green Gemini Surfactants” products based upon derivatized alkyl polyglucosides. The Colonial Suga®Fax Series of surfactants represent the first new technology in the manufacture of safe, naturally derived green surfactants that are not petroleum based and come from renewable resources.
Traditional NPE and alcohol ethoxylates have been the work horse products in consumer and industrial formulations for many years. Those products provide detergency, wetting and limited hydrotroping properties to formulators. The new Suga®Fax “Gemini Surfactants” offer formulating advantages over traditional surfactant choices, such as increased hydrotroping properties, superior detergency and wetting. And unlike traditional surfactants, Suga®Fax products are soluble and stable under low and high pH conditions, as well as being safe for the environment.
The Suga®Fax materials are derived from alkyl polyglucosides, a renewable resource made from coconut oil and corn syrup. These starting materials provide biodegradable, mild surfactants that can function in extreme conditions for a variety of consumer and industrial applications. Because of their safety, Suga®Fax products are excellent in consumer and industrial products, dramatically lowering the risk to human exposure.
Suga®Fax surfactants are recommended wherever wetting, hydrotroping, and detergency are needed in a consumer or industrial product.
Suga®Fax D10NC
Sodium Decylglucosides Hydroxypropyl Phosphate
Suga®Fax D10NC is an ideal starting point for formulators of high-performance industrial cleaners, household cleaners and oilfield cleaners that also feature greener, milder and safer properties. This 100% naturally-derived, mild surfactant has broad regulatory approvals, very mild characteristics for human contact and safe for release in the environment, all while being an effective detergent and hydrotrope.
Suga®Fax D10NC is a 100% biobased material as designated by USDA testing protocol. Suga®Fax D10NC is also readily biodegradable (OECD 301B) and presents no damage to aquatic life. The mild properties of Suga®Fax D10NC in eyes and on skin make it very useful in cleaners where human contact may occur with the cleaning product.
Suga®Fax D10NC is stable at all pH ranges for extended periods while providing immediate wetting in water. Suga®Fax D10NC can lower the surface tension of 50% and 25% caustic as well as other builder systems, enabling the builder to fully perform in the formulation.
Suga®Fax D10NC may be used in household cleaners for hard surface cleaning, oven cleaning, and in extreme clean-up products for pots and pans. It is also suitable for high-performance cleaners in heavy duty industrial applications.
