About Colonial Chemical Formulations
Colonial Chemical applications chemists are continually developing starting formulations that can be used in a variety of end-market applications. These are intended to promote new chemistries and market trends reflecting changing consumer demands. In many cases, our applications chemists demonstrate new formulations and prototypes for personal care products at industry trade shows, but the following formulary is not limited exclusively to exhibitions only.
These prototypes are also intended for use as starting formulas only and may be altered or modified as needed. All prototypes undergo stability testing.

Acid Shower Cleaner

To use: Wet hair and squeeze out excess water. Using the bottle tip to separate hair, apply the product directly onto scalp. Massage into scalp and pull through hair. Leave in 1 – 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Auto Dishwash Rinse Aid

This formula is a concentrated rinse aid for use in automatic dishwashers. It will retard deposition of spots and films on dishes, flatware and glassware. Cola®Wet MA-80 does not discolor the formula nor add any significant odor as with petroleum-based hydrotropes.

This formulation features mild, plant-based ingredients in a pumpable styling hair foam that is designed to be used between washes to redefine curls, hydrate, and control frizz. Featured ingredients include Colonial BetaNat, Cola®Quat SLCC, and Cola®Lipid GS to provide lightweight conditioning and eliminate frizz, creating soft smooth curls with bounce. Poly Suga®Mulse D9 is also featured to incorporate fragrance and provide foam.
To use: Pump foam into hands and gently work through hair, then scrunch. This product can be used between washes on dry hair to revive curls, or after cleansing on damp hair.
